SuperFOIL Insulation
SuperFOIL is a multi-layer reflective insulation made from thin foil sheets wrapped around a wadding or bubble core. Rather than relying on thickness alone to trap heat like traditional insulation, it works by reflecting radiant heat back into the room — the same basic principle behind a foil survival blanket. It's fitted between and over roof rafters or loft joists.
Reflective multifoil insulation for lofts and roofs — thin, effective, and ideal for tighter spaces where full-depth insulation isn't practical. Multiple foil and wadding layers reflect radiant heat back into the home, and it's quick to fit without disturbing existing roof timbers.

Rockwool Insulation
Rockwool is a mineral wool insulation made from spun volcanic rock, formed into flexible slabs or rolls. It works in a similar way to traditional loft insulation — by trapping pockets of air within its fibrous structure, which slows the transfer of heat through your roof, walls or floors. Because it's made from stone, it's naturally non-combustible and doesn't sag or break down over time.

PIV Ventilation Units
A Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) unit is a small, quiet fan system usually installed in the loft. It draws in fresh air from outside, filters it, and gently pushes it down into the home through a central vent — creating a constant, low-level flow of fresh air that pushes out the old, stale, moisture-laden air as it goes.

As homes become better insulated and more airtight, ventilation matters even more — a PIV unit keeps air moving and helps prevent the condensation and damp that can otherwise build up.

Timber Treatment
Timber treatment is a protective preservative applied directly to roof timbers — rafters, joists and battens — to guard against rot, damp and wood-boring insects. It's usually carried out as part of a wider loft upgrade, before new insulation goes in.
Roof timbers exposed to damp, condensation or wood-boring insects can weaken over time, putting the whole structure at risk. We treat rafters and joists with a protective preservative as part of a full loft upgrade, so the frame supporting your new insulation is sound, dry and built to last.

Spray Foam & Insulation Removal
Spray foam removal involves carefully cutting out and extracting old or problematic spray foam insulation from a loft, along with any insulation it's degraded, without damaging the roof timbers underneath.
Old or poorly-fitted spray foam can trap moisture against timber, cause rot, and even affect mortgage or insurance approval on a property. We carry out careful, thorough removal of problematic spray foam and old insulation, and can replace it with a modern, breathable alternative like SuperFOIL or Rockwool.

Loft Boarding
Loft boarding is a raised deck fitted on legs above your joists and existing insulation, creating a flat, solid floor for storage — without squashing down the insulation underneath it.

Properla Protective Coating
Properla is a nano-coating technology applied as a fine layer to exterior surfaces, creating a hydrophobic (water-repelling) finish at a microscopic level, without sealing the surface or stopping it from breathing.

Renotec Damp-Proof Render
Renotec is a specialist renovation render, formulated to be highly porous so that moisture and dissolved salts trapped within damp masonry can migrate out and evaporate, rather than being sealed in behind a standard render.
A breathable renovation render system for roofs and exposed masonry affected by damp or salt contamination. Unlike standard render, it allows trapped moisture and salts to migrate out through the render itself rather than sealing them in, helping to stabilise damp problems at the source rather than just covering them up.
